Investment
Hadley Ma


Prior to founding Ferghana, Hadley was a Senior Managing Director at MGG Investment Group with $6 billion in AUM. He served as the Head of Originations and Underwriting and was a member of the Investment Committee. He joined at inception and was the 2nd investment professional, leading a team of 27 investment professionals across the platform.
Prior to joining MGG, he worked at TPG Sixth Street Partners, a specialty finance firm where he sourced and evaluated credit opportunities from both a primary and secondary perspective, including distressed, recapitalizations, rescue financings, and other turnaround solutions. When he joined, TPG operated with approximately $6 billion in AUM, and he was the 12th investment professional hire at the time.
Previously he worked at Oaktree Capital Management, one of the leading credit firms in the US with approximately $50 billion in assets under management at the time. He also worked as an analyst at JPMorgan Securities, Inc. in the Syndicated and Leveraged Finance/Financial Sponsors Group.
Mr. Ma received his BA in Business Administration with a formal concentration in Finance from the University of Washington, Foster School of Business.
Shengshun Zhou

Shengshun Zhou is a Vice President at Ferghana Investment Partners, where he focuses on investment origination, evaluation, and execution. He works closely with founders, management teams, and advisors to assess complex transactions and support portfolio strategy.
Prior to joining Ferghana, he was a Vice President at Origami Capital Partners, a multi-strategy special situations investor. There, he was a core deal lead responsible for structuring and executing control and non-control transactions, managing full-lifecycle deal processes, and serving on the boards of multiple portfolio companies. His work included governance resets, lender-led processes, operational transitions, and tailored capital solutions. Previously, Shengshun was a Senior Associate in private credit at Portfolio Advisors, underwriting middle-market direct lending investments and supporting portfolio oversight. He began his career as an analyst at Bayview Asset Management, a credit focused hedge fund.
Shengshun holds an MBA from Yale University and a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Virginia.
Richard Ni


Richard Ni is a Senior Associate at Ferghana Investment Partners, where he supports investment origination, due diligence, and portfolio execution. As the first non-founder member of the investment team, he is responsible for financial modeling, transaction analysis, and managing third-party workstreams across the firm’s investments.
Prior to joining Ferghana, Richard was a Vice President in the Global Industrials Group at Jefferies where he worked with clients in the Business Services sector on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and restructuring transactions. There, he also led day-to-day deal execution on a range of founder-led and sponsor-backed transactions and helped build franchise initiatives focused on opportunity tracking, client coverage, and market mapping.
Richard began his career at Jefferies as an Analyst and advanced through Associate and Vice President roles. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Honors from the University of Chicago.
Operations & Platform
Brandon Resnick


Brandon Resnick is the Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Compliance and Financial Officer at Ferghana Investment Partners where he oversees firmwide operations, governance, and initiatives to support Ferghana’s investing activities. Prior to joining Ferghana, Brandon served as Chief Operating Officer for the Investment team at Coller Capital, the world’s largest independent private equity and credit secondaries platform. He was part of the firm’s leadership group, managing global investment professionals across New York and London and guiding strategic priorities across GP-led, LP-led, private credit, and investment data science efforts.
Previously, Brandon spent nearly a decade at Credit Suisse in New York, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff for the Leveraged Finance Investment Banking business. His earlier roles included leadership positions across the Global Credit Products and the Global Markets offices.
Brandon began his career in financial services audit at KPMG, later worked as a commodity trader at Glencore, and held audit leadership roles at PwC. He is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and earned his Accounting degrees from the University of Cape Town.
Brandon lives in New York City with his wife and two children and can often be found running in Central Park.
Alicia Kelly

Alicia brings more than a decade of experience supporting senior leaders and running administrative operations at financial institutions. Her background spans chief-of-staff responsibilities, executive support, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding.
Most recently, she helped build an executive search startup and previously directed business and corporate development initiatives for a national multifamily office.
Earlier, she spent six years at Bridgewater Associates where she managed scheduling and priorities for research teams globally, coordinated senior-level hiring alongside the CIO, and helped launch a management training and development program. She also supported executive recruiting efforts.
Alicia holds a degree in Human Resources Management with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University.
Charlie Waldburger


Charlie Waldburger is Head of Firm Development at Ferghana Investment Partners, where he helps shape firm operations and growth strategy. His work spans fundraising, investor relations, marketing, and go-to-market execution—integrating systems, people, and messaging as the firm scales.
Prior to Ferghana, Charlie led his own communications and GTM advisory company, helping technology companies, private equity funds, and venture-backed startups on communications, market positioning, and growth strategy.
Earlier in his career, he held strategy roles at Tableau Software and Microsoft and began his career in financial leadership with Washington Mutual (now JPMorgan Chase). Charlie earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration & Finance from the Carson College of Business at Washington State University and teaches Business Communications at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management.
